General Information
These Terms and Conditions apply to every order placed with MFI and the use of the www.mfi.co.uk website.
Our contract with you
When you place an order, you are offering to buy products and services from us and we will send you an order confirmation email. However, your order will only be accepted by us once your products are ready to leave our distribution centre for delivery to you. Until then we reserve the right not to accept an order for any reason. In these circumstances, you will receive a full refund of any charges already paid.
Information provided
We take all reasonable steps to ensure all details, descriptions and prices of products and services are correct at the time the information was entered onto our website. If we have made a mistake by unintentionally publishing inaccurate information (e.g. the price, description or availability of a product you have ordered), we may have to cancel your order, even if you have received your order confirmation email. In these circumstances, you will receive a full refund of any charges already paid.
Please also note:
- all sizes, weights and measurements quoted on our website are approximate only;
- on occasion, the manufacturer may make small changes to the design of a product without notice; and
- we cannot guarantee that the image displayed on a monitor or screen will accurately reflect the true colour of the products to be delivered to you and colours may differ between manufacturers.
We are entitled to make amendments to the price published, whether or not you have received an order confirmation email – for example, to take into account any increase in our suppliers’ prices or, if due to an error or omission, the price published is wrong. Any price changes will be agreed with you prior to accepting your order. All prices include VAT.
Please note that your device may display old pages from our website, which are stored in your device's memory from previous visits. It is important that you refresh your browser when viewing any pages on our website to see the current information, including the prices and products available.
Offers and discounts
Where we run additional offers and voucher promotions, these may not be used in conjunction with one another unless explicitly stated. This includes any cashback, discount code or account related discount.
Before accepting your order, if we discover that you are not entitled to use of a code, or do not meet any or all terms and conditions for use of a code, we may reject your order or process it without any benefit or reduction being applied.
Please note, discount codes may be specific to single products only and not necessarily when products are included in collections or offered as bundles.
We use countdown timers for a number of different promotions which may begin and end separately to product discounts.
Discount codes and additional vouchers are not available to use on orders where any finance-based payment method is chosen.
All offers and discounts are subject to availability and can be withdrawn at any time.
Delivery and collection
We offer delivery to mainland UK. Details of the delivery options and charges can be found on our Delivery page.
Our deliveries are usually handled by one of our trusted third party delivery companies. Please note that we are unable to give any special delivery instructions to drivers e.g. leaving products with neighbours or in sheds.
Delivery timescales are given as estimates in good faith but are subject to change.
If you fail to take delivery on the date agreed, we reserve the right to charge for any subsequent deliveries.
If you place an order over the weekend or bank holiday, please be aware that the order date is taken as the next available working day for delivery purposes.
It is your responsibility to make sure someone is available to accept your delivery and that the courier has somewhere safe nearby to park, with clear passage to the property. When your order arrives at your address, you will be given the opportunity to check and sign for the products. We recommend a visual inspection of the products on arrival for any obvious damage, and to ensure that all products ordered are present.
If relevant, our 2-person delivery can be made into a room of your choice on the ground floor or first floor only, subject to weight, and only when our courier is comfortable that the delivery can be completed without damage to the goods or property. It is your responsibility to ensure flooring and other surfaces at the property are appropriately protected.
The products we deliver can be big and heavy items to lift, so there will be certain occasions when we may be unable to deliver the products into your property. Lots of steps, narrow corridors, radiators and restricted parking are all things that may hinder our ability to deliver. It is your responsibility to ensure access to your property. In situations where we cannot gain access, we may be able to offer delivery to the nearest point possible e.g. your garage, so you can make arrangements to get the product in. If we believe successful re-delivery is viable when you have taken the necessary measures, we will attempt another delivery however a charge for re-delivery will apply in these circumstances. We also reserve the right not to re-attempt delivery; in which case we will always refund you the price of your product.
If any products are missing or your delivery is otherwise incomplete, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery quoting your order number for reference. If we are notified within the given timeframe, we will resolve for you free of charge.
Please refer to the Faulty products section below for a summary of your rights if any products received are damaged or faulty.
We strongly advise against engaging in any potential preparatory work until you have fully received and inspected your products, and we will not be liable for any tradesperson or other third party costs, consequential loss or compensation in any way.
You are responsible for unpacking products, disposing of or recycling any delivery or product packaging materials.
Please note that any reference throughout our website to free delivery is free standard delivery. For orders containing multiple items, you will be charged one fee based on the collective weight of your order, unless you specifically request specialist delivery arrangements.
Out of stock products are listed with an estimated timescale. These are dates estimated by our suppliers and are subject to change. We will confirm when a product is back in stock and you can then confirm your chosen delivery method.
Cancellation rights
If you have changed your mind about your product after delivery, you need to let us know within 30 days to receive a refund of the cost of the product. This is longer than outlined in your statutory rights, which gives you a 14-day cooling-off period for distance (e.g. online) sales.

The product must be returned in its original packaging, wherever possible. We are happy for you to unpack the product to inspect it but ask that you are mindful of the possible need to reuse packaging until you are sure you are going to keep the item. If you have used or damaged the product, assembled it or handled it beyond what is reasonably necessary to inspect it, we may not be able to sell it to someone else as new. Where the value of the product is reduced by actions you have taken, we may only make a partial refund to you or charge you for the reduction in value.
This right of cancellation does not apply where products are specifically made to your specification or personalised at your request.
You are solely responsible for returning any products to us – you will need to arrange for the delivery at your own cost and will be liable for any damage caused in transit.
Refunds will be made within 30 days of us receiving the products from you.
Faulty and / or damaged products
If a fault or damage has been caused by you (e.g. during assembly or setup), we will not be liable for the fault or damage.
Otherwise, as a customer, you have a legal right to either a refund, repair or replacement for products that are faulty or not what you expected. The solutions below are based on the timelines outlined in the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
a. If a fault is confirmed within 30 days of delivery, let us know and you will be able to return it for a full refund, or have it repaired or replaced.
b. If a fault is confirmed after 30 days of delivery (but within 6 months), let us know and you can choose whether you would like us to either repair or replace it for you.
- In some cases, we may not be able to offer your preferred option if it is disproportionate to the other (e.g. because it has a much higher cost to us than the alternative). If that is the case, you will still be offered a repair or replacement to fix the issue, but not the choice of either.
- If it is not possible for us to offer a repair or replacement, you can choose to keep the product and receive a partial refund or return the product and receive a full refund.
c. If you find a fault at least 6 months after delivery and you are able to prove that the fault was there when we delivered it, we will offer the same resolution mentioned in point b.
Manufacturers are best placed to help you deal with manufacturer faults. Sometimes we will ask you to get in touch with them to resolve the issue.
Nothing in these terms will affect your legal rights.
Warranty and liability
Some products from MFI are supplied with a manufacturer warranty; however, some manufacturers offer extended warranties on their products, and this will be indicated on the product details page. You may need to have registered your product to qualify for the extended warranties.
Please note, these warranties only cover domestic use, so items for use in commercial properties might not be covered.
As we only supply products for domestic and private use, we are not liable for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
As noted above, we strongly advise against engaging in any potential preparatory work until you have fully received and inspected your products, and we will not be liable for any tradesperson or other third party costs, consequential loss or compensation in any way.
Please be aware that we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage incurred due to errors made by you during checkout, for example entering incorrect address details, so please ensure all information is correct before processing your order.
Things beyond our control
We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under these terms that is caused by events outside our reasonable control.
Our obligations under these terms are suspended for the period that such event continues and we will have an extension of time to perform these obligations for the duration of that period. We will take reasonable steps to bring the event to a close or to find a solution by which our obligations under these terms can be performed despite the event.

If you would like to escalate your complaint, you can take the matter to Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). Although we do not participate in an ADR scheme, one such scheme is provided by The Retail ADR.
Security
We realise that the internet is based on trust so we make security our number one priority.
Your credit card details are sent to the relevant payment provider’s secure servers whilst the order is processed. No card data is saved nor will it be visible by any member of staff. Our web server uses GEO, an independent third party organisation that provides you with proof that our secure web server is genuine. At no point are your credit card details sent using an unsecured connection.
Although some customers may be eligible to receive remarketing messages based on their browsing activity, this is intended to help those customers find the products they want more easily. These emails are sent via a cookie-based opt-in system by a third party. If you receive any emails that you are not interested in receiving, please click 'unsubscribe'.

General
By entering into a contract with us, you agree that you will not move any products received from us to any country outside of mainland UK (i.e. England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland).
The contract (including these Terms and Conditions) shall be governed by the laws of England, and any dispute arising under it shall be heard in the English courts.
