Bar Stools

A good bar stool gives you a comfy spot for quick breakfasts, weeknight dinners and chats around the kitchen island. Before you choose yours, start by checking the height of your counter or breakfast bar so you can sit comfortably without feeling too low or too tucked in.

Leave enough space between each stool so everyone has room to sit, turn and move around. As a guide, wider stools may need a little more breathing room, while simple wooden bar stools can work well when you want a lighter look around your counter.

Think about how you’ll use them day-to-day, too. Velvet bar stools bring a softer feel, while faux leather bar stools are easy to wipe clean after meals, drinks and busy mornings. Wooden bar stools are a great choice if you want something simple yet sturdy (and easy to style).
