A double pole switch with a neon indicator makes it easier to see when power is being supplied to the connected appliance. That can be useful when the appliance itself is tucked away, built in or doesn’t have an obvious power light.
Before ordering, check the rating required by the appliance and the circuit it will be connected to. These switches are rated at 20A, so they won’t be suitable for every electrical installation or high-powered appliance.
Position the switch somewhere visible and easy to reach, rather than hidden behind the appliance it controls. You’ll also need to check the existing back box and wiring if you’re replacing an older switch.
