Turn Up the Colour
Pink can play very different roles depending on how much of it you want to see. Blush and clay shades work well as a quieter base across sheets, pillowcases and duvet covers, while coral, raspberry and hot pink make more of a feature of the bed. If you like stronger colour but do not want it everywhere, use a brighter pink duvet cover with neutral sheets underneath.
Pattern can push the look in another direction. Florals and ruffles feel softer and more decorative, gingham and stripes give pink a more graphic edge, and designs with cherries, bows or hearts bring a more playful feel. For children’s rooms, some collections also include matching fitted sheets or curtains, which can help tie the space together without adding lots of different patterns.
Pink bedding is easy to temper with other colours. Natural, cream and warm wood take the sweetness down a notch, while sage and olive give blush or clay pink a more earthy feel. Red and yellow make brighter pinks feel bolder, while grey creates an increasingly popular contrast.
