Layer Green Your Way
Green works particularly well when you build the bed in layers rather than sticking to one matching shade. Sage sheets can sit underneath a patterned green duvet cover, while an olive or moss green quilted bedspread adds a deeper tone at the foot of the bed. Eucalyptus, bay green and forest green give you even more room to mix without everything looking overly coordinated.
Texture helps separate those shades too. Smooth cotton sateen gives sage a more polished finish, while muslin, waffle and seersucker bring a more relaxed look. Brushed cotton and teddy fleece add a cosier feel, and velvet bedspreads or cushions can give an otherwise simple green scheme more depth.
Pattern changes the character again. Gingham and stripes give green a more structured look, while florals and scalloped details feel softer and more decorative. If your green duvet cover already has plenty going on, plain fitted sheets and pillowcases can keep the rest of the bed balanced.
