Classic Control

A toggle switch uses a small lever to turn a lighting circuit on or off. It gives you a more tactile action than a standard rocker switch, but it doesn’t adjust brightness like a dimmer switch.

Choose a single toggle for one lighting circuit, or a double, triple or four gang plate when several sets of lights are controlled from the same point. Count the controls on your existing switch before ordering, and check whether any of the lights can also be operated from another location.

The levers project slightly from the plate, so make sure they won’t sit behind an opening door or anywhere they could be knocked. Remember to check the back box and wiring arrangement as well before replacing a switch.
